Our practice is located on the beautiful coastal town of Victor Harbor. It has been a long established, local family run dental practice that has been a trusted part of the community for over 40 years.
Dr Dirkie Bezuidenhout took over the practice in 2022. Since then, we have continued to provide superior, compassionate dental care.
We pride ourselves on making our patients feels relaxed and comfortable whilst receiving the highest quality of care in a warm and friendly professional environment.
We offer a wide range of services, with a strong focus on preventative dentistry.
We are dedicated to helping our patients maintain optimal dental health and ensuring personalised care for every member of the family.
John studied dentistry at Adelaide University, and graduated in 1983. After his studies he worked one day a week at Glenelg, and the balance in Victor Harbor, where he lived.
John’s drive to deliver exciting, best practice dentistry has seen him continue his education to enable him to deliver new, proven technological procedures and techniques that ensure gentle, minimal discomfort, most aesthetic, long lasting treatments.
John’s work ethic, compassion, and quality workmanship have earned him the highest, most respected reputation possible in the dental profession.
Outside of work, both John and Pauline have been involved with three decades of community service in Victor Harbor through service club and sporting club memberships, and mentorship.
John and Pauline have 4 adult children, who grew up in Victor Harbor.
John’s hobbies include cooking, gardening and wine making.
Dirkie studied dentistry at the University of Pretoria South Africa and graduated in 2005. After her studies Dirkie did a year in community dentistry before opening her own practice, working as the principal dentist for several years.
In 2012 Dirkie and her family decided to immigrate to Australia. Calling South Australia home, Dirkie started working with the South Australian Dental Service for some time. 2016 Dirkie felt time for change and joined the team at Edwards Dental.
Now Australian Citizens Dirkie, husband Riaan and three young children built a lovely home on acreage just out of Victor Harbor. If there is any time left in the day Dirkie enjoys playing tennis, paddle boarding or just relaxing with a good book.
